Choosing the correct bike size and then getting a proper fit is critical to untapping all the performance and enjoyment you deserve from your Felt. Along with identifying a bike best suited to your needs and desires, size and fit will greatly impact your total cycling experience.
Felt is proud to be available in so many fine bike shops throughout the country, all of which can help you properly select the right Felt model and size. This is a process best done in person and it's one Felt highly recommends. These same shops will also help you with your overall position and be sure you are comfortable and safe. In some cases, a bike owner may choose a top-to-bottom "pro" fitting, which will include graphing, measuring and the translation of all of the smallest details including seat height, fore/aft and angle; stem length, height and angle; handlebar width, drop and angle; full shoe and cleat analysis, and much more. There was a time when this type of fitting was reserved only for the pros (or those aspiring to be pros), but no longer. Anybody can benefit from this kind of investment, and once it's done it can mean a world of difference in how a bike ride feels. A good shop will charge a modest fee to go through such a complete "pro" fit. Invariably, it's money well-spent.
There are a number of different fitting systems and philosophies, and while there is no definitive right and wrong, Felt highly recommends using the RETUL 3D Motion Capture System. There is no other system as complete or accurate. The Retul technology and process is like no other, and the results are unparalleled.
In the meantime, if you are just beginning the shopping process the below PDF is Felt's GENERAL Sizing Chart. Because anatomy, riding style, experience and a variety of other factors all come into play when selecting the best bicycle or frame size, Felt recommends all final fittings and bike selection take place through a professional Felt dealer.
